Understanding them is the first step to changing yours. Here is roughly how much each one counts.
Whether you pay on time. The single biggest factor.
How much of your available credit you are using.
How long your accounts have been open.
The variety of accounts you manage.
How often you apply for new accounts.
We are focused on the story behind that credit score, and helping rewrite it to reflect who you are today.
Generally, anything above 670 is considered good credit, and anything below 670 is considered fair or poor. Credit scores range from 300 to 850, and the higher you climb, the better the rates and offers you unlock.
Five things shape your score: payment history, the amount you owe, the length of your history, your credit mix and new credit. Paying on time, lowering balances, keeping good accounts open and challenging inaccurate items all help your score over time.
The three main credit bureaus are Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Each keeps its own report on you, so your score can differ slightly between them. We work across all three.
